About Food Intolerances

A food intolerance, or food sensitivity, occurs when a person has difficulty digesting certain foods, causing symptoms such as bloating, indigestion, diarrhoea, headaches and various other, sometimes unexpected, symptoms.

The Difference between Food Allergies & Food Intolerances

According to the NHS, food intolerance is difficulty digesting certain foods and having an unpleasant physical reaction to them.

It is also known as non-allergic food hypersensitivity.

Allergy UK have released figures suggesting that up to 45% of the UK population could be suffering from a food intolerance.

A food allergy however, and it is important to note, is when the body's immune system reacts to a certain food causing a mild to severe allergic reaction, such as anaphylaxis.

If you believe you might have a food allergy please contact a doctor.

Although it is unlikely for a food intolerance to be life-threatening, they can still cause symptoms that can impact your everyday life.

How we test for Food Intolerances

We test using EAV. The client holds a metal rod that is linked to an EAV testing device whilst the practitioner places a probe on the acupoints of the fingers and toes to establish an energetic inventory of the functions of different organs as well as identify any intolerance or sensitivity to foods.

The test does not involve any blood or scratching of the skin and tests over 75 different food groups.

EAV is a non invasive 'energetic' testing procedure. It offers a quick pain-free screening method for determining health imbalances and food intolerances and can help to quickly pinpoint systems of the body which may need rebalanced and also determine which remedies will help to achieve this.
